The town of Tuscarora came into being December 13, 1859. The name Tuscarora came from a tribe of Indians that were driven from their home in North Carolina. One of the oldest landmarks in Steuben County is located in Tuscarora. A stone chimney was built in 1831 by Eliba B. Albee. Tuscarora is located on the NY PA border between Woodhull and Lindley.
